Andrew Nembhard agrees to three-year extension with Pacers, now under contract through 2027-2028 season
The Indiana Pacers are building off their special season last year — and keeping their core intact. One year before his contract is up, Andrew Nembhard plans to sign an extension worth $59 million.
Before Andrew Nembhard plays his first minute in the Olympics with the Canadian Men’s Basketball National Team, he has shored up his short-term future.
Nembhard reached agreement with the Pacers this week on a three-year contract extension worth $59 million, per Life Sports Agency, which also completed an extension for Pascal Siakam last month. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowki first reported the terms of the deal.
Nembhard, the 31st overall pick in 2022, gets his first significant contract and will be 28 years old, presumably at the top of his game, as he enters free agency following the 2027-28 season.
And now his sole focus can be on Team Canada, determined to bring home a medal.
Nembhard started in 47 of 68 games last season and shot 35.7% from outside. He averaged 9.2 points, 2.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists — but his numbers don't come close to representing the impact that he has on both ends of the floor.
