Pacers FanJam was held on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024 — two days before their first preseason game.

One year after the reserves won bragging rights on the starters, Sunday was payback.

The Indiana Pacers held their annual FanJam, a free event and the only opportunity for some fans to see this team in person, on Sunday before the full NFL schedule kicked off.

Doors opened at 10:30 a.m. and the one-hour program was over at 1:11, just in time for Colts at Jaguars.

The first 5,000 fans received a Pacers tote bag with a gold FanJam t-shirt, voucher for a free hot dog, bag of chips, and Pepsi product, a game schedule, and the list of events for the day.

For the kids, there was face painting, balloon twisting, caricatures, and blow-up bounce houses. A limited number of wristbands were also distributed for postgame photos.

An estimated 7,000 fans showed up to Gainbridge Fieldhouse for a few hours of fun inside despite it being sunny and 80 outside. They limited tickets, and those were gone in about six hours on Thursday.

It was day five of Pacers training camp and for the second straight year, the team handled it as much like a fifth exhibition game as they could. Such as:

  • They had a scrimmage the day before to decide who used the primary locker room.

  • They wore game uniforms.

  • NBA G League officials were brought in.

  • Staff members were split up between the teams.

  • Game stats were officially recorded.
