Black Friday Special: Get 50% off annual Fieldhouse Files subscription
Take advantage of our biggest sale of the year with 50% off an annual subscription to FieldhouseFiles.com — for the best Pacers, Fever, Mad Ants, and Fieldhouse coverage.
The Indiana Pacers are a playoff team again and they have two max players. There’s Caitlin Clark mania in Indy (and across the country), Stephanie White has returned as head coach, and the Indiana Mad Ants are looking forward to their new home in Noblesville.
Ahead of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, I’m offering our BIGGEST SALE OF THE YEAR! For a limited time, through the end of the month, you can get 50% off an annual Fieldhouse Files paid subscription.
For all the best Pacers, Fever, Mad Ants, and Fieldhouse coverage — plus insight, reporting, interviews, and experience that you can’t get anywhere else — there is no better time to upgrade to a full subscription to Fieldhouse Files for up-to-date coverage on all that is happening — and why.
Or… you can gift a subscription to a Pacers fan.
What do you get? Experience, knowledge of the franchise, and someone who thinks about the team more than anyone. This is an every-day job to me. I was in the door at The Fieldhouse at 2003 and have been around ever since.
I’ve been on the Pacers beat since 2012, longer than anyone. I tell you what you need to know, what is happening, and what you can expect. Whether it’s an update on a player, information about a little-known assistant or what is happening with the local TV rights, I’ll get you the answer.
The news comes to you: As more choose to disconnect from social media — where, yes, I am very active — a Fieldhouse Files subscription makes sure that you stay connected to the team away from it. New stories are sent immediately to your email inbox (or the Substack app) so you don’t have to seek out stories, they come directly to you.
Direct access to me: Have questions? Ask away. I frequently answer questions from paid subscribers. I don’t want this to be a one-way street. I welcome the back-and-forth conversations — and when I do mailbags, I only take questions from paid subscribers.
On-site reporting: Over the last two years, I traveled to cover the NBA Cup, G League Showcase, All-Star Weekend, Draft Lottery, Draft Combine, Summer League, USA Basketball Showcase. This past July, in fact, I spent 10 days in Las Vegas as the only Indy reporter covering Tyrese Haliburton with Team USA; not even the local paper sent someone to cover summer league.
If there’s an event in town, I am there — like Myles Turner in the community and coach Lloyd Pierce hosting a coat drive. And when the Mad Ants broke ground on their future facility in Noblesville, I was the only beat writer there.
When owner Herb Simon was enshrined into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, I was the only Indy reporter there.
And the same applies to the WNBA. I traveled to Connecticut for Clark’s first game as a pro, I was there for their playoff series against the Sun, and I was in Phoenix for WNBA All-Star Weekend. I was the only basketball reporter in Florida to cover Clark play in a Pro-Am recently. When the Fever brought back Stephanie White as head coach, I talked to her first for a story.
That’s the type of coverage you should want and demand.
Don’t just take my word for it.

Jacob Sutton: Really good journalism. Weekly free content, but the extra stuff is paid for. Worth it.
