Caitlin Clark discusses "Full Court Press" docuseries, looks forward to world premiere on Monday | VIDEO
Caitlin Clark, Kamilla Cardoso and Kiki Rice are featured in a new ESPN+ docuseries with Omaha Productions. There is a private, sold-out screening Monday night.
It’s big day for Caitlin Clark off the court.
On Monday evening, there will be a private screening and world premiere of Episode 1 of “Full Court Press” a new docuseries coming to ESPN+.
It chronicles on the journeys from the past year of Clark, along with Kamilla Cardoso of South Carolina and Kiki Rice at UCLA. The director is Kristen Lappas.
Holly Rowe of ESPN was at Fever practice on Monday and she will moderate a panel discussion with the athletes, along with the director, at this private, sold-out event.
“I'm excited,” Clark said after practice. “I gotta hurry one thing to the next. That's what I do.
“It's really good. I honestly wish it was like more episodes because there's so much amazing content that we captured. Especially with just the runs all three teams had in it, but you just gotta watch and find out. I can’t give away too much.”
The Iowa coaching staff is flying in for the event, so Clark will be able to catch up with them — and then the Fever have Tuesday off. Their final preseason game is on Thursday at home against Atlanta.
Clark is an executive producer and it is in conjunction with Peyton Manning's Omaha Productions.
“Oh yeah, he was the man,” she said. “He pitched it to me and I'm actually an executive producer on the show. So I watched it, I cut out stuff, I added some stuff. But yeah, Peyton was very involved. He's the one that had the first idea of it.
“Obviously with what they did with quarterback (series) and they knew the hype around women's basketball, especially college women's basketball. Going from the championship we had with LSU my junior year and then moving into this season and they really wanted to capitalize on that. So they captured content all year long and followed us around.
“Our coaches were great. All three coaches were in it, teammates were in it, family members, so it was really special. Peyton’s been fun to work with and obviously a big supporter of myself and coming here to Indianapolis, he couldn’t be more happy too.”
For more on this docuseries, Clark talked in-depth about it, screening the entire thing, working with Peyton and serving as an EP after practice on Monday. Watch that post-practice interview in the video at the top.
