Caitlin Clark in Iowa: 'I'm feeling good. I feel ready to go'
After sitting out Saturday's Fever preseason game due to left leg tightness, Caitlin Clark is ready to play again at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. She's good to go.
IOWA CITY — Caitlin Clark will play Sunday.
Back inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena at the University of Iowa, Clark took the floor for warmups and then sat on the bench with assistant coach Briann January.
Then, 90 minutes before tip-off, she answered questions at a pre-game press conference that must’ve been filled with more than 100 reporters and dozens of cameras.
“I'm feeling good,” she said. “I feel ready to go. I've been getting a lot of treatment and just stretching. Stunk having to sit on the sideline yesterday, but obviously probably just the best decision in the preseason. I'm going to listen to our medical team and what they want to do, and obviously Steph (White) as well.
“… I don't know how many minutes I'll play, but it's always good to go shake the rust off and get up and down and be in the competitive environment that we're going to be in and play in front of these fans. So I'm certainly ready and excited.”
The game will air on ESPN at 4 p.m. ET — and the network is even doing a one-hour pre-game show.
