Caitlin Clark, Indiana Fever open preseason at Dallas — how to watch and what to expect
The Fever's first of two exhibition games is Friday at 8 pm ET — and it's headlined by Caitlin Clark's first game in the WNBA. Tickets are sold out, but you can watch on the WNBA app.
After four days of training camp, including several two-a-days, plus media day and travel to Dallas, the Indiana Fever finally get to play a game on Friday.
The Fever, with second-year head coach Christie Sides, open a two-game preseason slate in Dallas at 8 p.m. ET. And it’s headlined by Caitlin Clark’s first game as a pro.
She was drafted by the Fever with the top overall pick three weeks ago, enjoyed a quick week off at home, and now is excited to take the court with her new teammates on Friday.
The Dallas Wings didn’t previously sell tickets to preseason games. Well, they did for this one and it sold out in a hurry.
The game will not be televised, but you can watch for free on the WNBA app.
The league is smart to make both Fever exhibitions games available and free in the app — good marketing to welcome in the massive new audience that Clark brings with her after a successful four-year career at the University of Iowa.
As for what to expect, Sides wants to see her team in this new environment. They’re still managing minutes on a few players, including starting guard Kelsey Mitchell.
