Caitlin Clark teaming up with Lilly for partnership
Caitlin Clark has added Indianapolis-based pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly & Company to her growing list of endorsements off the court.
Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark continues to pile up off-court endorsement deals like she does points, assists, and wins on the basketball court.
Clark has joined Lilly, a pharmaceutical company headquartered in Indianapolis, for a partnership to bring attention toward better overall health.
“Caitlin Clark isn’t just a record-breaking basketball star – she’s breaking barriers and perceptions,” a Lilly spokesperson wrote in a email to Fieldhouse Files.
“She’s redefining what’s possible on and off the court. And Lilly is redefining what’s possible in treating some of the world’s toughest diseases and addressing health equity. Caitlin’s dedication and excellence alongside a passion for wellness and giving back inspires us to keep getting better and better. Together, we’re teaming up to strengthen communities and empower better health for all.”
It’s not immediately clear what this partnership looks like and how Clark will be used other than to bring more attention to what Lilly is doing. More details will be announced in the coming months.
In May, before the 2024 WNBA season, Lilly agreed to a multi-year deal with the Fever to become the official jersey patch sponsor — providing them with extensive visibility considering fan interest in Clark.
Thirty-eight of the team’s 40 regular-season games are scheduled to air on national television and Fever games this season have garnered record ratings for a half-dozen TV networks.
Already, Clark has endorsement deals with many companies including, but not limited to, Nike, Gatorade, State Farm, Wilson, Panini America, Xfinity and Gainbridge.
The Fever (18-16) are 7-1 since the Olympic break and earlier this week they clinched their spot on the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
They have six games left before the postseason, including the next five games at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
And just this week, Clark was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the second week in a row, and Eastern Conference Player of the Month for August.
