Pacers coach Rick Carlisle away for next two games

Rick Carlisle will miss the next two games to attend a family event, with lead assistant Lloyd Pierce stepping in as acting head coach.

Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle opened his postgame press conference Tuesday, following a 124-104 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, by sharing that he will be away from the team for the next two games.

That includes Thursday’s game at the Brooklyn Nets and Friday’s home matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers.
