Chris Duarte to play in two games this week with the Mad Ants on rehab assignment
The second-year Pacers guard will join the Fort Wayne Mad Ants for two games this week in Wisconsin. He's been out with a left ankle sprain since Nov. 4.
Chris Duarte was back on the court Saturday and looked like himself again after being sidelined for the past five weeks with a left ankle sprain.
He ran sprints along the sideline, put shots up with assistant coach Jannero Pargo, then later returned to the court for another 20-minute session.
In the next step in his recovery, the second-year guard plans to play in two games this week with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, the Pacers’ G League affiliate.
Leading up to those games on Wednesday and Friday in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Duarte began practicing with the Mad Ants on Monday at the St. Vincent Center.
“We watched practice,” Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle said prior to a home game against the Miami Heat on Monday. “He did well.
