Caitlin Clark joins Indy's own David Letterman for Netflix special debuting April 8
Netflix released the premiere date for the Caitlin Clark episode of "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman," along with a trailer. Details on where it was filmed and what to expect.
David Letterman’s conversation with Caitlin Clark, filmed months ago at Ball State University, is set to be released soon.
The private, phone-free taping was for the latest episode of his show, “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman,” which he has been doing for Netflix since 2018.
This special is set to premiere on Tuesday, April 8. That’s ideal timing for basketball fans because it’s one day after the men’s NCAA national championship game, and two days after the women’s title game, which Clark played in each of the past two years.
Now Clark’s on a different stage and is one of the hottest tickets in town.
One day after filming the extended conversation, they continued in Indianapolis (Letterman’s hometown) with stops at Long’s Bakery and in Fountain Square for Duckpin Bowling.
The streaming company released the following trailer for the special.
Among the items they touched on, I’m told: food, college, WNBA, Caitlin adjusting to the pro game, her high scoring, and competitive drive. And in the trailer, she touched on treating Halloween like a competitive sport. I wrote at length about that last fall, including how Iowa residents require trick-or-treaters to tell a joke.
“The amount of candy I had, I was the first to the door, I had the best costume, I had the best joke.”
