Eiffel Tower, Golden Gala, and gearing up for games: Pacers settling into Paris

After a couple days around Paris, the Pacers practiced at Accor Arena and begin shifting their mindset from sightseeing to preparing for games — just as they normally would.

The Pacers took photos in front of the Eiffel Tower Tuesday morning before practice.

PARIS — By Day 2 for the Pacers, it was time for some more sightseeing. That starts at the Eiffel Tower, of course.

They took plenty of photos of different groups in front of the iconic landmark before heading to the gym for their first official practice on Tuesday.

Everyone — myself included — is still getting used to time change and being six hours ahead of Eastern Time. Several players told me they had below-average sleep, waking up in the middle of the night. Same for me.

“Excited to be here, sightsee, do all those things,” said Tyrese Haliburton. “Create more memories with more friends, so I'm excited about it.”

Then, by the evening, it was dress to impress.

The Pacers held a private gala at the Hôtel de Ville for their traveling party. Fancy photo shoots, delightful drinks, live music, and an elegant setup for the black tie affair. This is something the team has done in their previous trips overseas.
