The Indiana Fever play their second game in three nights at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Saturday. They’re hosting the Nigeria National Team at 7 p.m. ET in their final tune-up game of the season.

For this Fever team (1-1), they’d like to put together a good 40 minutes before having a week between games. This matchup comes one week from Opening Day, on May 9, against the Dallas Wings.

They’re coming off a performance that was not up to their standards against the Dallas Wings — lacking gap integrity, giving up too many shots at the rim, and not playing as one offensively. After a positive first quarter, it was all Wings the rest of the way.

Head coach Stephanie White would like to see more urgency, improved defense and awareness in transition. Then, the intrigue in this game will become the battle for the final roster spot.
