Fever sign 2025 Draft Picks Timpson, Hall and Ejim to rookie contracts
All three players reported to Indianapolis this week and will compete for a spot on a crowded 12-player roster. Fever training camp opens on Sunday, April 27.
The three members of the Indiana Fever’s 2025 draft class arrived to town this week and they each signed rookie-scale contracts.
All three players — Makayla Timpson, Bree Hall, and Yvonne Ejim — were selected in the second and third rounds of this year’s WNBA Draft and will join a Fever team looking to build on momentum established last season with a new era led by 2024 Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark.
Players have made their way to Indy throughout the week, and most of them were at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Tuesday to attend the Pacers’ Game 2 win over the Bucks. They were on the court and threw t-shirts into the stands during the second quarter.
Timpson, a 6-foot-3 forward out of Florida State, was taken with the 19th overall pick in the second round. Known for her shot-blocking and rebounding prowess, Timpson averaged 17.5 points, 10.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 1.8 steals per game.
Hall, a versatile 6-foot guard from South Carolina, was chosen at No. 20. She played a key role for the Gamecocks throughout their run to four straight Final Fours, contributing both offensively and defensively in Dawn Staley’s system. Hall shot 38% from deep last season while bringing toughness on the perimeter. She was a teammate with Aliyah Boston, and so the Fever put her locker next to the two-time All-Stars.
Ejim, a 6-foot-1 forward out of Gonzaga, rounded out the Fever’s draft class at No. 33. A two-time WCC Player of the Year, Ejim averaged 20.7 points and 9.3 rebounds as a fifth-year senior, showing strong finishing ability and relentless energy in the paint.
The trio will report to training camp this weekend, where they'll enter what promises to be a highly competitive environment.
With 12 players already under contract — the league maximum for the regular season — their additions push the roster to 15. That means three players will be cut before opening night (May 17), raising the stakes for every rep and scrimmage.
“Amber (Cox) and Kelly (Krauskopf) have done an outstanding job of getting the pieces in place,” head coach Stephanie White said. “And now from the coaching staff, it's our turn to put them on the floor and to build our rotations, to build our confidence on both ends of the floor, to find the right combination. So I'm really looking forward to it.”

Fever select three in 2025 WNBA Draft, focus on defense and versatility
After a transformative draft last April, selecting Caitlin Clark at No. 1, the 2025 WNBA Draft was much more low-key.
