Former Pacers draft pick Alize Johnson signs contract overseas
Johnson spent two seasons with Indiana (2018-20) and he will soon play in another country.
Alize Johnson knows where he’ll be playing next season.
Johnson is headed overseas to play for KCC EGIS in South Korea, he shared on Instagram. The team colors, like the Pacers, are navy, gold and white.
Johnson was the Pacers’ second-round pick in 2018, taken 50th overall out of Missouri State University. He has a constant motor and a nose for the ball, able to count on him for a half-dozen rebounds in short minutes.
Johnson, 27, has appeared in 76 NBA games over five seasons and 31 — the most of any team — were in Indiana. He averaged just 5.9 minutes per game though. He’s a big fan of Kobe Byrant, which is why Johnson wore No. 24.
Johnson most recently played for the San Antonio Spurs last season. He's also spent time with Brooklyn, Toronto, Chicago, Washington and New Orleans.
Fun fact I just noticed: He has more than one million followers on Instagram despite cleaning up his account and keeping just 23 points, as of this publishing.
