Highlights from Haliburton, Toppin and local products at Kyle Guy's Dizzy Runs Pro-Am | VIDEO
Finch Creek Fieldhouse was filled to capacity as two Pacer players, plus other pros, squared off in a competitive offseason game. Watch for yourself.
NOBLESVILLE — Thousands of fans showed up and arrived hours early for the Dizzy Runs Pro-Am hosted by Indianapolis product Kyle Guy Tuesday evening. Inside the Finch Creek Fieldhouse, many games were played.
But it was standing-room only for a few hours as Tyrese Haliburton, the face of the Indiana Pacers, played in the marquee game. It was his first live action since his last appearance this past NBA season — March 25 in Atlanta.
He teamed up with Obi Toppin for the first time — and played against familiar names like Jeff Teague, Andre Owens, Trayce Jackson-Davis and Joey Brunk.
Haliburton and Toppin played the entire game, but they came up short (131-127) in a game played to a target score. Game stats were not immediately available, but pro-am organizers said they would eventually be shared.
I will publish a feature for paid subscribers on Wednesday about this special night for Indiana basketball fans. “Indy showed out tonight,” Haliburton tweeted afterward.
Until then, here’s several videos I edited together to summarize the evening — Highlights from the game, of Pacers players, and postgame interviews.
