The Indiana Fever were back home to continue a grueling stretch to start the season (seven games in 11 days), including a new stretch just this week with four games in six days.
One week ago, they were in Connecticut to open the season and were blown out. After three consecutive double-digit losses, they nearly recorded their first win of the season Monday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in front of sellout crowd (17,274).
Alyssa Thomas led all with 24 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists. The Fever had five double-figure scorers. Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell scored 17 points. Temi Fagbenle recorded her first career double-double with 11 & 10.
The Sun came back to earn the 88-84 win to improve to 3-0.
And here is what Clark, along with coach Sides, had to say pregame to reporters.
