Lance Stephenson's fix for the All-Star Slam Dunk Contest: Include YouTubers
The dunk contest has lost its flare, some even suggesting the 3-point contest should close All-Star Saturday night. Born Ready has an idea.
As the Pacers returned to Indianapolis this week for the final stretch of the 2021-22 season, one player who didn’t need any more motivation or juice was Lance Stephenson.
I mean, he’s Born Ready.
Stephenson, 31, had been out of the league for two seasons, then rejoined the Pacers for a third stint to start 2022. A month later, he signed a deal to finish the season in Indy. It doesn’t matter when or where there’s a game, at Rucker Park or in an NBA arena, he’s down to play.
“I actually wanted to keep going because I’ve been at the crib for like two years straight, so I was like, ‘Man, can we get going? Can All-Star break be over already?’ I’ve been waiting on this game (Friday),” Stephenson said.
