Bennedict Mathurin inducted into University of Arizona's Ring of Honor during Pacers' road trip
At the end of the Pacers' recent trip out west, the team made a stop in Tucson, Arizona to see Bennedict Mathurin celebrated by the Wildcats. He was the 2022 Pac-12 Player of the Year.

Before the Indiana Pacers arrived in Phoenix on Saturday ahead of their final game of a six-game road trip, the team made a pit stop for a very special reason.
Early Saturday morning, after a three-point loss to the Trail Blazers, the Pacers flew directly from Portland to Tucson, Arizona to see Bennedict Mathurin inducted into the University of Arizona men’s basketball Ring of Honor.
Mathurin was recognized during a ceremony at halftime of the Wildcats’ 77-71 win over UCLA to improve to 14-4 on the season. A special video played, then Mathurin was presented with a painted basketball for him to take home to remember the moment.
“It’s great,” Mathurin said before the game. “Just being one of a few guys to be inducted — I feel like it’s great award. I worked really hard to get into that and I’m pretty grateful for that.”
