New video boards installed at both ends of Gainbridge Fieldhouse
These new, larger and brighter screens will further enhance the fan experience — for Pacers, Fever, and college basketball games at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Pacers Sports & Entertainment spent more than $360 million renovating Gainbridge Fieldhouse in the NBA offseason from 2020-23. However, just because that’s all been completed doesn’t mean they’re content.
No, they’re always looking for ways to improve.
Two weeks ago, work began to install new video boards up high at the north and south ends of Gainbridge Fieldhouse. That work is now completed.
Both ends have three video boards, the middle one for video and the two side ones for stats. These new, larger and brighter screens will further enhance the fan experience — for Pacers, Fever, and college basketball games in the building.
Just take a look at a photo of the ones installed on the south end below. The stats are a lot easier to read, and yes, it does create more room for advertisements as well.
And below is a sample photo before the new screens. See how much space was not being maximized?
PS&E is now led by Mel Raines, who was promoted to CEO in June when Rick Fuson retired. When she joined the organization in 2015, her first role was senior vice president of facilities operations. So she has an eye for this kind of stuff.
And now it’s up to game operations, led by Dean Heaviland, to maximize the space and help make the fan experience even better.
The Fever have three more regular-season home games, including Wednesday against the Las Vegas Aces.
The Pacers’ first preseason game back in the building is on Monday, Oct. 14 against the Memphis Grizzlies. (Click here for their full schedule)
And once again, the Indiana Mad Ants (in the G League) will play their home schedule at The Fieldhouse.
