Pacers reach back to last season, ride team effort to comeback win over Bulls
Indiana closed on a 28–9 run over the final seven minutes, drawing on last year’s comeback experience to erase a double-digit deficit and beat Chicago at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Plus, many news items.
The Pacers are used to being on the other end of a big run this season, too much to overcome and complete the comeback.
They entered Wednesday’s home game against Chicago 1-30 when trailing after three quarters (10-5 when ahead). They strung together stops, piled up 37 points, and flipped a nine-point hole into a three-point win, 113-110.
It was their 12th win, improving to 3-0 this season against the Chicago Bulls.
But it didn’t come easily or without struggles, internally and externally. They led for less than two minutes of the game, sparked by an 18-4 run leading to the final two minutes of the game.
