Pacers lose two national TV games as networks flex schedules
Prime Video and Peacock each replace upcoming Pacers broadcasts as Indiana’s 2–15 start factors into the decisions.
In a span of 48 hours, the Pacers have had two games pulled from the national TV schedule.
First came Monday’s move: Prime Video opted to flex into 76ers at Bulls rather than Celtics at Pacers on Dec. 26. The game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse will still be played but will shift up 30 minutes, now tipping at 7 p.m. ET.
Two days later, another adjustment followed.
Kings at Pacers on Dec. 8 will no longer air on Peacock. You can’t fault the network — the two teams are a combined 7-28 through the first month of play. Instead, Peacock will carry Suns at Timberwolves, featuring two teams currently above .500 and sitting in the 6–7 spots in the West.
For Indiana, the fallout is straightforward: two more games for the local broadcast crew on FanDuel Sports Network Indiana. They’re now slated to air 74 of the 80 currently scheduled games — every game they’re permitted to broadcast.
Two additional games will be added to every team’s calendar after Group Play in the third annual NBA Cup. Expect those to air locally as well, pushing the Pacers’ local total to 76 of 82.
Before the season, the Pacers were scheduled for nine appearances on national TV. But after the first month of the season, and the Pacers’ 2-15 start, networks elected to tweak their broadcast schedule.
