Bennedict Mathurin was selected 6th overall by the Pacers in 2022.

Do you remember a Clippers player piling up 31 points and 29 rebounds on the Pacers back on Nov. 27, 2022? And how the only thing to stop him was being disqualified late in the game after picking up his sixth foul?

That player — Ivica Zubac (pronounced EE-vee-tsah ZOO-bahts) — is now headed to Indiana.

Since before the start of this season, the Pacers’ biggest need was at center — and it remained that way.

Until Thursday.

Less than an hour before the 3 p.m. ET NBA trade deadline, the Pacers reached agreement with the Los Angeles Clippers on a four-player deal headlined by the Pacers getting their center.

  • Incoming: Center Ivica Zubac, guard Kobe Brown

  • Outgoing: former first-round picks Bennedict Mathurin and Isaiah Jackson, two first-round picks, 2028 second-round pick (via Dallas)
