What the Hali? The latest on Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton ahead of Game 6

If the decision were solely up to Tyrese Haliburton, he will be on the court Thursday night for Game 6 of the NBA Finals.

“I want to be out there,” he said after a light practice on Wednesday. “That's the plan.”

Haliburton is dealing with multiple injuries. His right ankle started noticeably bothering him in Game 2. Then, in their Game 5 loss, he suffered a right calf strain — which was confirmed by an MRI on Tuesday, after the team returned to Indianapolis.

That tells us it’s likely no worse than a Grade 1 strain.

A Grade 2 strain typically sidelines players for at least several weeks; a Grade 3 would be much more serious.

But there’s a lot more to consider.
