It was the Fever’s home opener — and it was a sellout (17,274).
Breanna Stewart, last year’s MVP, was the star of the game. She finished with 31 points and 10 rebounds in 30 minutes.
All eyes were on Caitlin Clark for her home debut. She finished with nine points, seven rebounds and six assists.
Aliyah Boston scored a team-high 12 points — which is not nearly enough points from your leading scorer.
The Liberty won all categories — notably rebounds (+14), paint points (+20), second chance points (+24) and fast break points (+14).
The Fever dropped to 0-2 and the Liberty are now 2-0. They’ll meet again on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET on ABC.
