The FIBA Women’s World Cup provided a memorable two weeks in Berlin, culminating with Team USA overcoming France to win gold for the fifth consecutive tournament.
On the latest episode of the Fever Files podcast, I was joined by French journalist Eliott Caillot of Taille 6, who covered the World Cup from Berlin and offered his perspective on the tournament, France’s run to the championship game and another gold medal for the United States.
We discussed what the atmosphere was like throughout the event, France’s play, and what stood out from Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston during their first World Cup with the senior national team.
Caillot also has a unique connection to Indianapolis.
He spent more than a year in Indy while attending Butler University, covering both the Fever and Pacers during his time here. So we also looked back on his experience covering basketball in Indianapolis, his time at Butler and what he took away from living in the city.
