Read everything the Pacers said in Las Vegas before their semifinal game against the Bucks

Rick Carlisle, Tyrese Haliburton and Myles Turner spoke with reporters on Wednesday after practice.

LAS VEGAS — The Pacers arrived in Las Vegas Tuesday after beating the Boston Celtics to move on to the semifinals. While they were relaxed and cozy in their hotel rooms, the Milwaukee Bucks defeated the New York Knicks Tuesday night to punch their ticket.

By Wednesday, all four teams had made it to Vegas and held some sort of team activity.

Much like they have been all tournament long, the Pacers were first to practice at the temporary practice structure that took 100 hours over five days for a crew to build. It was constructed just outside T-Mobile Arena to allow for players to keep to their routines.

Then, the team moved inside the arena for their first opportunity to see and shoot on the new custom tournament court.

Afterward, the head coach and at least two players talked with reporters in the interview room. And for the Pacers, the choices were obvious: Carlisle, Haliburton and Turner.

How would you describe the feeling of the team coming off the high of the win and then going into this next game? And what's the status of Jalen Smith?

Yeah, Jalen will not be available. He's doing better. He's started to do some light running. He did some shooting drills with us today, so you may have seen that. But he will be unavailable for any of these games here.

The team is in a great state of mind. Really optimistic, opportunistic group that is looking forward to this opportunity.

Now that you're here, what do you think of this whole setup, and how do you prepare the team for tomorrow's game?

Yeah, predictably, it's very impressive what they've done here. The logistics, the separate kind of preparation area, all that stuff, really impressive how they did that. They've got a whole banner thing the size of one of the sides of the building that has all four teams printed on it. They must have done that 13 hours ago or something, unless they just printed up a bunch of different combinations. But that's impressive.

You know, the arena looks great. The stage lighting is cool. It's got an MSG feel. It's got an old Forum-in-L.A. feel.

I think it benefits where we are, kind of one of the entertainment centers of the world. This should be a very competitive final four.

Do you think an IST championship is worthy of a banner in the arena of the champion?
