'I dodged a big injury': Tyrese Haliburton attends Iowa State game, provides update on his injury
Haliburton stayed behind in Utah to attend Iowa State at BYU Tuesday night in Provo. And he talked about his injury for the first time.
When the Indiana Pacers took off for Sacramento on their charter flight Monday night, Tyrese Haliburton was not on board.
The team’s All-Star point guard, who is sidelined with a Grade 1 left hamstring strain, remained in Salt Lake City overnight after the team’s 27-point loss to the Jazz. That way on Tuesday, he could make the 45-mile drive down to Provo, Utah to see his 24th-ranked Iowa State Cyclones face No. 20 BYU.
BYU won 87-72, but Haliburton used this rare in-season opportunity to see his college team play live. With two days between games, the Pacers had Tuesday off and some members of the traveling party elected to visit local wineries.
