Update on the broadcast situation for Pacers at Hornets
The preseason game is not being televised locally by either team. But there is one way to watch it.
The Pacers’ first preseason game is tonight in Charlotte. Although neither one of their games this week — both on the road — will air locally on Bally Sports Indiana, there is an option.
The game will be available to stream on the NBA app for League Pass subscribers, a league spokesman told Fieldhouse Files on Wednesday afternoon.
Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. ET.
You can also listen to the game on 93.5FM & 107.5FM The Fan in Indy or statewide on the Pacers Radio Network. Mark Boyle, entering his 35th season on the call, is back on the road and with the team in Charlotte.
It’s been a clouded situation without much clarity, but this is good news for fans.
This is first NBA game for rookies Bennedict Mathurin, Andrew Nembhard and Kendall Brown. It’s Myles Turner’s first game played since Jan. 14 due to a stress reaction in his left foot. It’s the first time to see the duo of Tyrese Haliburton and Turner together on the court at the same time.
“The first preseason game is where you flick the switch and the season is on,” head coach Rick Carlisle said. “And with only four of them, we’re not easing into it. We’re going to play our guys and we’ll play to win.”
