USA Men's Select Team includes one Indiana Mr. Basketball, two local coaches
The Select Team features players that are on the rise and will seriously be considered for a future National Team.

Several familiar names were included in USA Basketball’s latest announcement: the 2024 Select Team, which is tasked with practicing against the National Team to prepare them for Olympic competition.
First, Pacers assistant coach Jim Boylen and Purdue head coach Matt Painter are the two assistants who round out the staff leading this group, headed up by Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley.
Boylen was named USA Basketball Coach of the Year last year for his efforts leading the World Cup Qualifying Team over a three-year period with a roster comprised of players from overseas and in the G League — including several off the Indiana Mad Ants.
“I just think the work that he’s done with USA Basketball has just been phenomenal,” Rick Carlisle said over a year ago. “It’s been a great service to our country, just in terms of our international play. You can’t get to the Olympics until you’ve qualified for the World Cup. It’s not automatic anymore. If you win the gold medal, you don’t automatically qualify for the Olympics unless you’re the home country.”
Secondly, USAB also named the 15-man roster that will be in Las Vegas to work out with the National Team over a three-day period (July 6-8).
The highlight is Cooper Flagg, the rising freshman at Duke who may be the No. 1 pick in one year.
The roster also includes 2019 Indiana Mr. Basketball Trayce Jackson-Davis, who just completed his rookie season with the Golden State Warriors, as well as free-agent guard Langston Galloway, who was in camp with the Pacers two seasons ago.
