Not even flight delays could squash the excitement Sophie Cunningham had for her new situation. The Indiana Fever guard was acquired in the offseason from Phoenix, where she was drafted in 2019 and spent the first six seasons of her pro career.
After touring her new basketball home and meeting the team behind the team, Cunningham talked with Indy reporters in the entry pavilion at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
She discussed the trade, being back in the Midwest, her excitement level for this group, championship aspirations, and supporting Caitlin Clark.
