Fines issued, but no suspensions after Pacers-Nets clash
Trendon Watford, Myles Turner, and Andrew Nembhard were fined a combined $90k for their roles in an on-court altercation on Thursday. The Pacers and Nets play against at 5 p.m. on Saturday.

The NBA has handed out three fines, but no suspensions for the on-court incident that occurred with 4:48 left in regulation of the Pacers’ overtime win over the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday.
The league office wrapped up its review late Friday, then issued fines of $35,000 each to Nets forward Trendon Watford and Pacers center Myles Turner, along with a $20,000 fine for guard Andrew Nembhard “for his role in initiating the altercation.”
Nembhard and Watford appeared to be talking and exchanged shoves for a few possessions. Then after Bennedict Mathurin scored a layup to draw the Pacers, who didn’t lead in the final three quarters, to within five points, first-year Nets head coach Jordi Fernández called timeout.
And it’s a good thing, for both teams, that he did. That’s likely why no players were suspended for leaving team benches.
Watford threw his right arm into Nembhard after the timeout was called, which started the whole thing. Turner saw the end of it, came over and pushed Watford as if to say nope, you’re not bullying my teammate like that.
Mathurin saw that, hustled over, and separated them as members of team security arrived on the near sideline, opposite the Nets’ bench.
