Believe me, I like Haliburton. But it’s an absolute shame we don’t get to see him and Domas together. THAT would have been a treat, to see Sabonis with a real PG, and not the longer-term rebuilding process that is disguised by a 12-8 record against the third-softest schedule so far and temporarily delayed since trade targets like Turner and shield are overachieving right now.
Makes you wonder what the front office has changed in their approach to this team and trading Myles or Hield. Is this start a fluke? Hard to tell. Do you break it up with a trade? Then what? Who or what are you bringing in? I can say pretty confidently we have not had a shooter like Hield since Bojan and if we lose him we will go right back to having the lane clogged and passing it around the arc to non shooters. As much as I’ve been done with Myles it seems like his puzzle piece fits a lot better with this group and Hali. But would he even consider staying here? I honestly don’t think his market is that great as we’ve seen by the lack of trade. Maybe the asking price has been too high but I feel like if there was a deal to be made, Pritch would have got it done.
