Pacers' 2022-23 preseason schedule revealed
Their four-game schedule is set, two on the road and then two at home. And it all begins on Oct. 5.
You can finally add Pacers games to your calendar … even if it is just for the preseason.
Unlike the regular-season schedule, individual teams are empowered to set their own preseason slate. They work with one another to decide who to play and when.
Although the Pacers have not officially announced their schedule, many other teams have — including three opponents. And so, like last year, the Pacers begin with two exhibition games on the road and then play two at home.
The first time for fans to see lottery pick Bennedict Mathurin and the other newcomers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse will be on Oct. 12 against the New York Knicks.
It will also be the first game back inside the Fieldhouse since the place closed in May to complete the final phase of renovations, which totaled $360 million in all. However, it won’t be 100% finished by the time games return.
It’s unclear when the 2022-23 regular-season schedule will be unveiled — but it should be in the next week or so.
Training camp opens in late September.
