Pacers FanJam 2024 set for Sunday, Oct. 6
The Indiana Pacers set the date for their annual FanJam, a fan-friendly event that is free — and the best opportunity to see this team in person at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
The Indiana Pacers will hold their annual FanJam beginning at noon ET on Sunday, Oct. 6, the team announced on social media.
Tickets are free, but required. They become available on Oct. 3 at 10 a.m. — with a limit of six tickets per person.
It is an NFL Sunday. However, the Colts are on the road playing the Jacksonville Jaguars at 1 p.m. ET.
For the second consecutive year, there will be an intensity and purpose to it for the team.
The coaching staff wanted to get more value out of FanJam last year so they changed the approach and brought a new urgency to it: a 20-minute scrimmage with game uniforms, separate coaching and training staffs, team introductions, G League officials and even a stats crew.
“We’re gonna do this as a real game, not just a normal fun, go out there and shit-fuck around,” head coach Rick Carlisle said one year ago.
A scrimmage the day before between the White and Blue Teams determined which team got to stay in the Pacers locker room while the other had to move to the visiting locker room for FanJam.
Then at the end, the winning team decided on the consequence for the losing team: running the length of the court in front of about 8,500 fans in the stands.
Along with bragging rights, of course. And Buddy Hield used that as an opportunity to talk trash with Tyrese Haliburton; nothing new there.
And yes, the event finished off with the annual Rookie Show — where the rookies have to sing along with a song (and in an outfit) selected by Pacers veteran Myles Turner.
More details to come on the event. But you can expect free parking to be available in the Virginia Avenue Garage and for the first 5,000 fans or so to receive freebies — like a t-shirt, hot dog, bag of chips, and a soft drink, like usual.
This is your best chance to see the team before the start of the season.
