George McGinnis could not be mistaken with his 6-foot-8 frame. He produced an undefeated state HS title, a spectacular season at IU and a Hall of Fame worthy pro career.
A few years ago, my daughter and I were at the Fieldhouse. Who do we see sitting alone on the concourse, in his wheelchair, but Slick Leonard himself. We exchanged a few words and got a picture. He could not have been more pleasant.
Similar encounter with Chris Denari and Quinn Buckner at a different game. So many good ambassadors for the franchise.
