Pascal Siakam hosting Pacers teammates to Orlando for second annual mini-camp
Siakam was acquired in January, re-signed in July, and he's happily taken on a leadership role in just eight months with the Indiana Pacers.
Pascal Siakam hosted the first- and second-year players to Orlando, Fla. for a week of on-court workouts, training and bonding at the end of August. Especially for the rookies — and the Pacers made three selections in the second round — this is all so new to them.
New teammates, new standards, and a much longer season.
The 30-year-old is helping bring them along, mentor them, and provide them a formal setting to get focused work in one month before the start of their first training camp.
Now three weeks later, the Pacers’ All-Star forward is hosting the entire roster for the players’ second annual mini-camp. Last year was a big hit as they hit Nashville, which was led by cowboy Bruce Brown, Tyrese Haliburton and Aaron Nesmith.
