Tyrese Haliburton's latest shoe colorway is his favorite Hali 1
The Pacers guard signed with PUMA less than 16 months ago and already he has a signature shoe in multiple colorways. The Hali 1 'Smoke' is now available.
PUMA released Tyrese Haliburton’s first signature shoe — Hali 1 — four months ago. Already, there’s been two colorways available for purchase, plus several more exclusives — like in green for his high school, Oshkosh North.
On Friday, the third colorway dropped. It’s the Hali 1 ‘Smoke’ — and it’s Haliburton’s favorite because it’s in gray.
The All-NBA point guard signed an endorsement deal with PUMA after winning a gold medal in the 2024 Olympics 16 months ago. The deal included a signature shoe He appreciated their belief in him — as well as input in the design process.
Almost three years ago, I wrote about Haliburton’s evolving style and how he likes wearing unique pieces. He said then that he wanted his own shoe, and PUMA later offered it to him. The Hali 1s were designed by Salehe Bembury.
The goal was to created a futuristic aesthetic pairing design and reliable performance.
Haliburton’s on-court debut with his signature shoe was last June’s NBA Finals. It then became available for purchase in late September, just as players returned to their teams for training camp.
Since then, several other NBA players have worn them — from teammate Johnny Furphy, who has an endorsement deal with PUMA as well, to new sneaker free agent Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors.
The Hali 1s are being sold for $130 and is available directly from PUMA, along with Foot Locker and Champs Sports.
