Tyrese Haliburton celebrates wedding weekend
The Pacers star married longtime girlfriend Jade Jones after an eventful few weeks that also included appearances with LeBron James, WWE and encouraging progress in his Achilles recovery.
One week ago, Tyrese Haliburton officially became a married man.
The Pacers guard and his longtime girlfriend, Jade Jones, made it official at the courthouse, according to an Instagram post from Jones.
The photos show the newlyweds outside the City-County Building in downtown Indianapolis. By the end of the week, they were celebrating with those closest to them.
Haliburton and Jones gathered with family and friends this past weekend for a private wedding celebration in Dallas, Texas.
On Friday, they welcomed guests with “The Night Before.”
Then, on Saturday, Aug. 1, it was time for “Hali Ever After.”
Pacers teammates, coaches, and members of the support staff joined their families and friends to celebrate the bride and groom.
Haliburton is the face of the franchise and signed the richest contract in team history. Through everything that has come with his rise since Ames, Iowa, Jade has been right by his side.
The two have been together for more than seven years, meeting at Haliburton’s first basketball game at Iowa State University. He was a freshman guard from Oshkosh, and Jones was a member of the cheerleading squad.
For Haliburton, the wedding capped an eventful and encouraging few weeks — both on and off the court.
An Eventful Last Few Weeks For Haliburton
Haliburton has been a busy man leading up to wedding weekend. Two weeks earlier, he maximized a trip to New York City.
It began with a podcast appearance with LeBron James…
After attending the Fanatics owner Michael Rubin’s annual White Party over the Fourth of July, Haliburton was invited to the third annual Fanatics Fest. An estimated 200,000-plus people attended the event at Javits Center in New York City.
Rows and rows of fans watched on the first day as Haliburton shared the stage with James, who was still a free agent at the time. The two recorded the season finale of James’ “Mind the Game” podcast — which has surpassed one millions views on YouTube.
That’s when Haliburton revealed that his recruiting pitch to James was met with two laughing emojis 🤣🤣.
And that was the end of his recruiting efforts.
James is one of the most popular athletes in the world — and the player Haliburton grew up idolizing. They later became teammates on the 2024 Olympic Team that won a gold medal in France, and this was Haliburton appearing on James’ show once again.
What an experience for him.
And, of course, Haliburton’s dad grew up loving the Showtime Lakers and Magic Johnson.
Later at Fanatics Fest, Haliburton made a WWE-style entrance dressed in a robe with a championship belt around his waist. That was a tease for what was to come.
Two days later, Haliburton was inside Madison Square Garden, home of the New York Knicks, to continue his ongoing bit with now NBA champion Jalen Brunson.
Haliburton’s grand entrance at The Garden served as a distraction from what unfolded inside the ring.
For someone who grew up loving WWE — and still does — it was another special opportunity for him to strengthen his relationship with the company.
Haliburton has also debuted two new color ways of his first signature shoe, Puma Hali 1, over the last few weeks.
First, he gifted close friend and Pacers player development coach Isaac Yacob his very own version of the shoe inspired by Yacob’s hometown of Carson, California.
Then, Haliburton posted photos wearing the Hali 1 Troy Bolton player-exclusive shoe. (That means it’s not for sale.)
Bolton was the character played by Zac Efron in “High School Musical.”
Yes, I had to look that up. I was unaware of the reference.
Haliburton’s first signature shoe, which retails for $130 in adult sizes, appears to have done well. A large part of that is due to Haliburton’s own promotion.
Whether he is wearing them on the court, posting them on social media, or gifting them to high-profile friends, the shoe have gained plenty of traction.
And recently, Puma signed Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell to an endorsement deal — specifically under the Hali franchise.
By Sunday of that week, Haliburton and Jones were still in the New York area. They appeared to watch the FIFA World Cup Final from a suite at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
For someone who spent much of his life under the radar, Haliburton now thrives in the spotlight — and he is enjoying it.

A lot of star power has shifted to the Eastern Conference.
That has led to frequent discussions about the competitiveness of the conference and which teams belong at the top.
The Pacers are not included in many of those conversations, primarily because they’re coming of the worst season in franchise history and they didn’t make any meaningful changes over the summer.
The Knicks, 76ers, Celtics, Heat, Raptors, Pistons and Cavaliers are regularly mentioned before the Pacers, who pushed the Thunder to Game 7 of the 2025 Finals the last time they were healthy.
Throw out last season
The team is running it back. Plus, the midseason addition of Ivica Zubac.
But what will Indiana look like? That largely depends on Haliburton and how he performs upon returning to the court starting in October, 16 months after surgery.
He’s been playing 5-on-5 for a while and is nearly recovered from a nasty bout with shingles. He has dropped weight, added muscle, and returned to playing the game that he’s twice been named an NBA All-Star.
Haliburton has also regularly posted updates — along with visual evidence.
The latest came last week, 13 months after undergoing surgery to repair his torn right Achilles tendon. Haliburton completed a between-the-legs dunk, moving the ball from his left hand to his right, and landed on both feet.
Best of all, he came down comfortably and then celebrated the achievement.
Haliburton turned 26 in February. He has said that the past year was the most difficult of his life.
The last few weeks, however, have been encouraging. They have been fun.
He is back on the court doing what he loves. And away from basketball, life has given him plenty of reasons to celebrate.
